Event Details

As in past years, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board and its supporters are working with Junior Achievement of Georgia to invite up to 100 JA Fellows to attend their Annual Meeting Dinner.  This is a tremendous opportunity for the JA Fellows Program to showcase our greatest assets - you! Oh yeah, and the the chance to network with prominent members of the Georgia business & political community! As an added bonus for our budding political pundits, former Arkansas Governor/ Presidential Candidate and current Fox News contributor Mike Huckabee will be the featured speaker at the 2010 Annual Meeting Dinner, and is sure to be informative & entertaining, irrespective of your political leanings.

This event will be held in the Thomas B. Murphy Ballroom of the Georgia World Congress Center on Monday, January 11th (dinner). The Reception will be held from 6 to 7pm, with Dinner following directly afterwards. Should the dinner prolong past 9 pm, you are welcome to leave at that time, as it is a school night. Tickets are not guaranteed, as they are contingent upon the number allocated to us by donors, and we reserve the right to reduce the number of non-JA Fellows guests in order to maximize participation by JA Fellows & JA Fellows alumni. You will be notified via e-mail closer to the date of the event with an official confirmation.

JA Fellows who have failed to show up for previous engagements will be given lower priority, and may be removed from the RSVP list entirely. Additionally, failure to show-up after we have confirmed you as a participant will cause you to be eliminated from consideration for future networking opportunities. As a representative of the JA Fellows & Junior Achievement of Georgia, we expect you to continue to display a high level of professionalism in both your dress & behavior. ABSOLUTELY NO PRODUCT SALES ARE TO BE CONDUCTED AT THIS MEETING! However, you are encouraged to network and make connections, tell others about the JA Fellows and your student company (and of course yourself!), and perhaps pursue a sale at a later date should they give you their contact information. Again, this event is not the appropriate venue to bring products to - leave them at home!

Dress for this event is business professional. No half-sleeve shirts/polos, jeans, sneakers, hats, etc. All phones on vibrate - and have your game face set to smile!
